When you make an enquiry. Your name, phone number, email address if you give one, and whatever you write in the message, along with the vehicle you were looking at. We need these to reply to you.

When you message us on WhatsApp. The conversation happens inside WhatsApp, so Meta processes it under its own privacy terms. We keep the content of what you send us in order to handle your enquiry.

When you buy a vehicle. Identification, address and payment details, and any documents required to transfer ownership and register the vehicle. We are required to keep some of this by law.

When you simply browse. Which pages and vehicles were viewed, and roughly where in the world the visit came from. This is measured with our own software rather than an advertising tool belonging to somebody else. Your IP address is never stored: it is combined with a secret that changes every day and turned into a value that cannot be reversed, which lets us count visits without identifying anybody.

Replying to your enquiry and preparing a sale are steps taken at your request before a contract, and performing that contract afterwards. Keeping sale and tax records is a legal obligation. Understanding which vehicles get attention is our legitimate interest in running the business, which is why the measurement is deliberately anonymous.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It is seen by our own staff, and by the suppliers who run this service on our behalf: [list your hosting, database and messaging providers]. Where a vehicle needs registration, insurance or finance, we pass on only what that specific process requires, and only with your knowledge. We will disclose data where the law requires it.

Some of these suppliers hold data outside Nigeria. Where that happens we rely on the transfer safeguards permitted by the Nigeria Data Protection Act.

Enquiries that do not lead to a sale: [retention period]. Sale records: for as long as tax and company law requires, currently six years. Anonymous visit statistics: for as long as they are useful, and they cannot be traced back to you in any case.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, object to how we are using it, or ask for it in a portable form. Write to [privacy contact email] and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. A cookie is used to keep staff signed in to the private dashboard, which is strictly necessary for that area to work and is set only for people who sign in.

Data is held on systems with restricted access, in transit over encrypted connections. Staff passwords are stored hashed and never in a readable form. No system is perfect, and if a breach ever affected your rights we would tell you and the Commission as the law requires.

This site is meant for adults buying vehicles and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

If we change what we do with your data we will update this page and change the date at the top.
